Busy lifestyles often make you read for the phone, or for JustEat, to order a take away when you really don't have the time or the inclination to cook. The Weight Watchers' cooking sauce ranges are a great alternative to have in the cupboard just in case you have "one of those days".
I bought this sauce for Friday, as I knew that after a challenging week I would want to just relax when I got home. I've also been under the weather, which made me less likely to cook something from scratch. I was right, the temptation to opt for a take away would've been rife had I not planned ahead and bought this sauce.
I made this with chicken and white rice for Andy, but I decided to go for the vegetarian option so made myself a Zero ProPoints vegetable curry. With the sauce, the meal (minus any sides) was only three ProPoints. It was pleasing, to say the least. The sauce was creamy, as you would expect from a Korma, and it seemed to go as perfectly with the vegetables as it did with the chicken. The £1 price tag can't be argued with! If you can't find the Weight Watchers' sauces on offer in your main supermarket, then Home Bargains always have them for a really good price.
The cooking time for both versions of the meal was around 25 minutes- this is half the time of most take aways if you rely on delivery!
I wouldn't suggest making a Korma with this if you were to go on "Come Dine With Me", but for a speedy, simple alternative to a take away, I recommend it very highly!
