After a week of fighting it, whatever cold or flu that has been trying to defeat me has won! I feel terrible. Rest assured, other than my squats, I am not doing any exercise tonight. Rest day! I think I've earned it anyway. I'm sensing my PJs, Modern Family, New Girl, Big Bang Theory and then snuggling down to read The Book Thief. Maybe throw in the odd cup of tea or two!
Tea tonight is Vegetables in a Weight Watchers Korma sauce (Andy's having chicken). I'm going to enjoy this with two Weight Watchers mini Naan breads. According to the Weight Watchers app, this will be 8 ProPoints. Not bad for a "cheat" meal. I must say, I'm really struggling to eat all of my points! I'm sure if I had a McDonalds or something I would manage, but on a normal day I tend to use about 15 of my current 37 points (it started as 39). It's not like I'm starving myself to save points, I eat three decent meals each day. I'm just in a much better mindset now, and seem to have sorted my portion sizes out.
I'm hoping to be much better for tomorrow as we're going for a family meal, which I'm very excited about. I'm not going to worry about point counting; I'm simply going to enjoy the meal. In preparation I'm going to drag Andy to the gym in the morning, providing this bug has shifted.
I'm going to start doing some reviews of recipes, products and exercise tips that I use. Watch this space.
Happy Friday.
