Is it not Friday yet?

Do you ever have "one of those days" where you wish nobody would even look at you, let alone dare speak to you? Well I did today. Work was particularly trying, and then I came home to find that my dog had made a mess everywhere so I spent the first half an hour of my evening literally cleaning up shit. It kind of summed up my day! The dog seems fine now, and I've since learnt that she was fed last night's left overs- not the best idea for a dog, husband of mine! I resisted the natural impulse to stuff my face after the "stress" and decide to move my arse instead.

My exercise tonight consisted of a 15 minute walk from work to home, then a 30 minute power walk around the block with Andy, Noah and Rosie. I felt like that wasn't hard enough, so I did one of Keaira LeShae's dance workouts (check her out on YouTube... superherofitnesstv). This one was the Zumba one from earlier in the month. It was a lot of fun, but hard work.

I am on day 10 of my squat challenge, so have 105 to do. I'm currently trying to psych myself up to this. I think my next area for attack will be my arms... I give bingo wings a new meaning at the minute, so I need to sort them out. Has anyone got any tried and tested tips, that don't necessarily involve hitting the weights at the gym?!

My lovely mother-in-law, Sandra, passed on some of her Weight Watchers recipe books. Is it sad that I'm actually excited to sit in bed and read these, planning some meals for the next week or two? No? That's ok then!

Another proof of my change in such a short time is the sheer excitement that I just felt at ordering some proper exercise clothes, courtesy of my Mam's Next account until payday. I am so excited! New joggers, vests, socks and cool kid trainers! I have finally bought some Adidas trainers. When my sisters and I were kids we were only allowed New Balance, keeping it local and all that. I know they're a worldwide and brilliant brand, but when you're 14 and in "dorky" New Balance, it does nothing for your street cred (not that I had much growing up, but I won't dwell on that)! Well now I'm all grown up, I can have whatever trainers I want, and this time I've gone for pretty purple ones. Just shoot me if I start to call them "adeedas"! I was tempted by Nike Air Max, but as I am no longer a teenager, I thought better of it. Plus, at £110, are you not just paying for the privilege of wearing the brand?

For tea tonight I had lean minced beef in gravy with oven baked veggies. Good old fashioned comfort food. I think Andy is getting used to us all eating better, although I am slightly worried as he mentioned opening the bottle of low fat mayo and just eating it. Time to let him have a treat, I think!

That's it from me tonight! Before I go, I just want to thank my lovely colleague who came and hugged me earlier to tell me how much she is enjoying my blog. It doesn't even register that people really look at what I have to say, but that really made me feel nice. A bit warm and fuzzy inside!
